Lisa Hamilton graduated from the University of Brighton in 1989
with a degree in three-dimensional design. From there she was
lucky to study goldsmithing under one of the countries foremost
jewellers Jacqueline Mina.
She set up her own studio in 1991 from where she sold her work
to numerous stores throughout the UK and participated in
exhibitions showing her one off pieces. She has sold at
prestigious shows, Chelsea Crafts Fair, Dazzle, Inhorgenta
in Germany the San Francisco Gift Fair and Goldsmiths Fair.
Currently Lisa Hamilton works from her studio and shop in Lewes,
East Sussex.

Using traditional goldsmithing techniques she makes
one off pieces for exhibitions and for private clients.
In her workshop she also run jewellery workshops
to those who wish to learn more about the craft.
Her work is concerned with movement and inspired by nature.
She works primarily in wire, forging it or using jigs and
mandrels to create repeating designs. Textures are an
integral part of the design process, currently embossing and
working with textured hammers to create contrasting finishes.
Lisa has undertaken many commissions for wedding and engagement
rings in platinum and gold for those who are looking for a
distinctive and timeless piece.
