about lisa
Lisa Hamilton graduated from the University of Brighton in 1989 with a degree in three-dimensional design. From there she was lucky to study goldsmithing under one of the countries foremost jewellers Jacqueline Mina.

She set up her own studio in 1991 from where she sold her work to numerous stores throughout the UK and participated in exhibitions showing her one off pieces. She has sold at prestigious shows, Chelsea Crafts Fair, Dazzle, Inhorgenta in Germany the San Francisco Gift Fair and Goldsmiths Fair.

Currently Lisa Hamilton works from her studio and shop in Lewes, East Sussex.

Using traditional goldsmithing techniques she makes one off pieces for exhibitions and for private clients. In her workshop she also run jewellery workshops to those who wish to learn more about the craft.

Her work is concerned with movement and inspired by nature. She works primarily in wire, forging it or using jigs and mandrels to create repeating designs. Textures are an integral part of the design process, currently embossing and working with textured hammers to create contrasting finishes.

Lisa has undertaken many commissions for wedding and engagement rings in platinum and gold for those who are looking for a distinctive and timeless piece.
